- squeaks, creaks, and multitude of small repairs
I worked selling VWs for over a year, and about a month starting work, I thouhgt I would buy one of these cars. I was coaxed into it by the great styling and extremely smooth a quiet ride. Soon after, I began the garage phase of ownership. It began with the doors creaking, then into the garage for the console creaking. This was done about ten times before it was fixed. Then I started with the hard shifting problem. I was told it was possible that I would needd a new transmission on a car with barely 20,000 miles. Then the problem witht the door handle not opening the door. Soon after, the heated seat burned my butt and the entire drivers seat had to be replaced, but the seat was on back order for months.
