- looks great
- seats too hard no leg room in back, terrible electrical, expensive parts and maintenance
i bought my Jetta GLS VR6 in 2002, it's a fun car and looks great. it's V6, poor gas milage is what i expected. Unfortunately, even though it's a V6, it feels like gonna-die until it goes to 4000-5000rpm. the seats are so hard, you absolutely can't drive it for more than 3 hours at one time and your back feeling okay. OF cource, it should be better if you are buying a leather one. there is no leg room in back, feeling embarrassed to my friends. the trunk is oh-my-god small, but forget it, it's just a small short sedan. it's only been 3 years, problems kept coming out during this year. headlight wire burnt out which cost me more than $100 to replace only one bulb connector. VW dozn't provider good after-buy service. elect. windows broke which even cost me more....
the most annoying thing is the "check engine" senor, during the last year, the engine light turned on for 3 times, each time cost a couple of hundred dollars to check in the dealer, then found out just the sensor got problem. unbelievable fxxking expensive for the sensor replacement. DON'T BUY JETTA unless you are too rich to fix and pay for maintenance.
i took it to trade in with a Japanese car, im glad i could get rid of it
