2007 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan
There are 6 user reviews for the Value Edition 2.5L trim shown below
- 6cd changer, integrated blinkers, and big trunk
- hard to read speedometer, speakers rattle, gas and brake are too close, lots of blind spots also
Decent car for a first time driver, but not something I'd keep. You'd be better off with a mazda3. If you want a reliable, good gas mileage car for a teenager, or adult. Get a jetta sedan, its better than nothing.

- Great handling, quality build throughout, safety features are the best
- Odd, placement of some buttons, high price
After researching both the Civic and the Jetta, the Jetta was impossible to pass up. There is so much more value in this car than the new Hondas. I was worried about MPG but the Jetta easily gets 32 on the highway and I heard the Civics are way over-estimated.
The other concern I had was service support but after my first trip to the dealer I was relieved. The service was top notch, quick and friendly. I am sold on Volkswagen until the others guys can build something to beat it.
Did I mention its it is really sporty, and I just have the base model!...read morehide

- Style, value per dollar, performance, comfort and quality.
- A threat to the competition specially Toyota, Honda or Nissan.
The compact car class that is very competitive has to outshine one another, but because the Volkswagen Jetta has more value added to their cars, like an extra cylinder, it makes more sense than a 4 cylinder car which has less power or a 6 cylinder car which can be more gas consuming than a 5 cylinder Jetta. That is only one example of value added and a lot more to discuss. Try a German car for a change, it might change your whole perspective in cars....read morehide

- BETTER PRICE, VALUE, PERFORMANCE AND QUALITY THAN COROLLA/CIVIC!
- MISSING THE DIESEL ENGINE.
I DECIDED TO BUY THE JETTA OVER THE COROLLA OR CIVIC AFTER COMPARING THEM IN DETAIL AND A FEW ROAD TESTS. THE THING THAT SWAYED MY THINKING WAS THAT THE JETTA WAS COMFORTABLE, MORE VALUE FOR THE MONEY, BETTER LOOKING WITH A NICER PROFILE, BETTER HANDLING AND PERFORMANCE THAN THE OTHER JAPANESE CARS. HAPPY TO HAVE MADE A CHANGE AFTER USING BOTH JAPANESE CARS FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS!...read morehide

- Looks, handling
- very noisy engine, fuel economy below stated, lots of little problems
The Jetta is a satisfactory car. Pros are the looks and the driving handling. The cons are a bad radio, noisy engine, and very poor vw customer service.
I have only owned Hondas prior to this vw. I would not buy a vw again.
Piazza VW of Ardmore is terrible after the sale.
