2008 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan

- Fun to drive, performance, comfort, trunk space, stereo, and european styling
- road noise, and center console is small.
If your looking for a perfomance car with plenty of room, that is well made, and has a european feel and look then the VW Jetta is your car. I test drove the Wolfsberg Jetta and I just fell in love with this car. First of all this car has the same engine as the Audi A4 (the 2.0 turbo 200hp). The only difference is that the Audi is rear wheel drive and the Jetta is front wheel drive. The transmission is smooth (i have the triptonic shifter) and fun to operate. This car is quick both from a stop and at top speeds you can still accelerate quickly past others. I had this car at 120mph on I-75 and it felt like I was doing 60mph. The car felt very stable and smooth. As for corning this car can handle it's own and out perform it's competition (honda civic, accord, and toyota camary, corolla). The interior is comfortable and the leatherette seats I actually think are nicer than real leather. The trunk is huge (I can fit my hockey bag, sticks, and tennis bag all in the trunk at the same time) and nicely constructed. The stereo is more than loud enough to make your ears ring. The sound is full and clear and the 6 disc cd changer is easy to use. From the exterior to the interior this car looks and feels all German. Crisp lines, attention to detail, safety first, and autobahn performance all wrapped in a nice neat package with an affordable price tag has me lovin the Jetta Wolfsberg Edition. This might be the best kept secret of German engineering. If your lookin for a performance sedan with a european influence that won't break your bank account give the Jetta a test drive you won't regret it....read morehide

- Excellent handling and power! DSG, 32mpg highway, 26city Great value $20,400, Leatherette
- Seats difficult to adjust and a little firm. Needs more power adjustments on front seats.
My wife and I have been test driving cars for two months. We were looking for a practical car that is also fun to drive. Honda Civic SI (gutless until 6,500 rpm no leather) Corolla (158hp, solid and slow, with leather cost 30,000) Mazdaspeed 3 (fast lots of road noise, narrow power band over 5500 rpm power stops, notchy shifting. The 2008 Wolfsburg 2.0T can really deliver! Free revving with excellent power from 1500rpm to 6500rpm, handles like it's on rails, feels very solid with no body roll. If you drive it 75mph in cruse control it will give you over 30 mpg. What also makes this car special, is the DSG transmission. You can put it in "D" and it will shift normal, or put it in "S" and it will keep the engine in the high power band(4500-6500rpm) or you can shift it manually by pressing forward on the stick for up shift and pull down for downshift. The DSG also delivers seem less (Indy Car) type shifting!...read morehide

- Smaller Engine, same power, better gas mileage
- none as of yet
I have owned 2 Jettas prior to my new wolfsburg edition. Love it! Must agree with other reviews, it begs to be driven hard. Peppy and gets great gas mileage, better than the 5 cylinder I traded it in for.

- Looks Good,
- Electrical problems, poor gas mileage
Speed Sensor is always failing causing the car to stop in the middle of the road very unreliable and unsafe. The car spent more time in the shop then on the road.

- Agressive stance, responsive hardware, great gas mileage
- Small amount of turbu lag
Great car, and you can get great deals through vw credit right now. I have owned several VW's (mostly jettas) and this is the best vw i've seen to date. Aftermarket tuners (such as myself) should really love tweaking this car.
