The only positive about this car is that its cute...besides that it has been nothing but a headache! I have had my car for 1.5 years and it has been in the shop 8 times! Not only is VW taking time out of my weekends but they are also disrupting my work life as well, as my car is not reliable at all! In additon to being inconvinienced for something thats costing me ALOT of money a month, I also have to deal with the most HORRIFIC customer service at the South Motors service department in Miami, FL. If you are considering a VW Beetle Convertable...STAY AWAY...There are better options out there for less money and certainly better customer service!...read morehide

- Of course the convertible top! Nice power. So much fun to drive!! Attention getter, top up or down!
- Its hard to hear when driving at high speeds. Back seat is very small. Drivers side window issues.
This car is an awesome car. Of course it's much more fun to drive in the Spring and Summer because of the top, but its overall a fun car to drive. Definitely not a family car! Back seat is too small, although I did get a car seat in there once! I have had my car for 8 months now, and it rains a lot here, and I have never had a leakage problem.
I do though, have issues with my Drivers side window rolling down by itself after Ive tried to roll it up. When I take it to the dealer to be fixed, the correction lasts for about 2 weeks then the problem arises all over again. So I have had that issue since I have had the car. They want to take my door apart and fix the issue without giving me a rental car. NOT GOOD!
Oh and I love the MP3 hook-up in the car! Sound system is nice. Turning radius is awesome.
Trunk space is very small. Not a car for extensive travel (cant get much luggage in, unless the back seat is empty)....read morehide

- Great performance, truly fun to drive, handles well, roof is easy to operate, high-quality finishes
- Needs more interior lights like the Passat, ride is firm but sporty
I love to drive this car. It's bigger inside than it looks. It performs like a sports car; it corners well and accelerates quickly. The five-cylinder engine is powerful and good on gas even with the automatic transmission. Make sure the tires are inflated properly; that makes a big difference in the ride and gas mileage. No problems with the roof or noise. Monsoon sound system is terrific. The car comes in great colors. And don't forget to put water in the bud vase. I've got an artificial sunflower to match the Sunflower Yellow paint. Long story short: It's iconic and better than a Mini....read morehide

- Practicality on its size, price, maintenance and fuel economy.
- More cars should be this way!
The convertible Volkswagen beetle is the most practical cars in its class, better than a Corolla, Civic or Sentra. Reason for the pick is the other names mentioned don't have the Beetle's convertible features. Besides, the look of this car does not fade away with age and that is the most important characteristic of it. Enjoy the sun and open air with this reasonable priced Beetle!...read morehide
