Purchased As New
I purchased my one new from the dealer for 17,900 + 199 documentation fee. Phenomenal car. Very nicely tuned engine (five cylinder) with manual transmission. The engine compartment is excellently over-engineered: it is a small compartment compared to Honda Accord, Nissan Altima or Toyta Camry, but it is completely enclosed (so little dust or water can enter) plus the battery has its own heat insulation! The interior is very spacious. The suspension is outstanding! Firm, study, robust ride on the road (as you would expect from a German car). The fuel economy is fantastic! We average mixed urban driving 31 mpg (I suppose it has to do with driving style, that includes a lot of coasting on neutral with the manual transmission). Even though engine is rated 170HP, the pull (torque) is quite strong. Nice heavy doors, hood and trunk lid, you can tell they have put plenty of sheet metal in those (unlike, for example, a Honda or Toyota). Overall, exceptional value. I would strongly recommend not getting this car in automatic, as the manual gives substantial advantage to this car.
