- massive computer issues, faulty interior issues, suspension issues, factory recalls, etc...
My wife and I had a 2003 Jetta, so when the time came, it seemed to make sense to upgrade. We purchased a 2007 Passat Wagon at the end of February 2007. 2 weeks after our purchase we had multiple fault lights coming on in the car, and the car was brought back to the dealer. An issue that has yet to be resolved with VW and is continuing. The car has been to the dealer multiple times for various issues with faulty interior equipment, the continuing light malfunctions in the car, and 3 factory recalls. The suspension makes horrible sounds and seems more to mimic a horse drawn carriage than a VW. The ESP, Air Bag, Power Steering and Brake lights all signal as a fault, but the dealer nor VW can figure out the issue. We are currently going through the Lemon Law in the state of Maine. I want to make this clear, the dealer has been great and their service has been top notch. Darlings of Bangor is a great dealer, it is not their fault VW put out a poor quality car. I have still yet to her from VW on any of our issues or the filing of the Lemon Law on the car. I am hoping that they acknowledge the fact the car is a lemon and buy it back. The unfortunate side effect is that we will never buy a VW again.
