VW has sure missed the boat not providing the V-6 TDI option. This would have been a great car with that option. VW new all about the Tier 2 Bin 5 and LEV 2 emissions standards and missed a year and a half not selling the TDI engine where Mercedes-Benz was on top of this change when it happened.

- Very roomy, comfortable for short and long drives and the most trustworthy car I've ever owned
- I wished that it got better miles to the gallon; especially with gas prices continuing to go up.
My husband is 6ft 4 inches and has ample room for his head and legs in the driver's and passenger seat. We have a 100 pound dog that we travel with alot and there is more than enough room for him in the back; especially when you drop the back seats. The backseat area is comfortable but best suited for people that are not tall through the legs. We have been quite happy with the pick up in acceleration of the car. The large disc brakes took some getting used to after driving other american cars. It doesn't take much pressure on the brake to feel the car begin to slow down. With bad traffic driving, sometimes you need to quickly stop to avoid hitting the person in front of you. This is your car. Be prepared that with that sudden stop, the 4 motion of the car will kick in giving great traction to all four wheels and will almost take your breath away as to how quickly the car responds. My husband and I have driven the european autobahns (highways) and our car can handle, accelerate and stop as well as most any car. Our previous american made car we were originally driving in eurpoe, wasn't able to accelerate or stop as quickly as needed when driving in this quick moving traffic.
