2008 Volkswagen R32 User Reviews

I can understand why this car is routinely compared to the STi and Evo, but it's not really a competitor. HP figures aside, the R32 is about so much more than outright speed. The R32 is more of a GT car rather than a purpose-built car like the STi or Evo. The suspension is stiff yet compliant and won't wear you out on long road trips. The exhaust note is to die for and VW's unique narrow-angle V6 gives off just the right vibrations that let you know what it's doing! Every good thing you've read about the DSG transmission is true. The dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming mirror and auto-headlights are nice touches not often found in cars at this price point, as are the auto-leveling bi-xenon headlights and headlight washers. The handling is amazingly neutral for a front-heavy car. The brakes have so much feel and stopping power to boot.
