2009 Volkswagen Rabbit User Reviews
4 Door S PZEV shown
- $9,923 - $11,462
- It's tight, fast, roomy and cool looking (the Euro look). It's a poor man's BMW.
- Just minor things not worth mentioning.
We got it for $0 down and $264 a month on 39 mo. lease. Great deal! I love the looks and feel of it.

- precise handling, torque monster, room to spare for occupants
I love this little machine! I got my rabbit about 3 months ago and I still can't take my eyes off of it, I believe this is what would be considered true love. I just took my VW on a 700 mile road trip and could have driven 1000 more miles. the power band on it is very constant while cruising, and with the torque that the engine provides it is easy to overtake slower moving vehicles. I was very impressed with the MPG while cruising at 75mph, I believe I got right around 33 miles per gallon on 93 octane, not bad. Since I bought the vehicle I have done some minor modifications such as sport tuned suspension, and high performance tires and rims, and it made the little car even that much better. Lastly I would like to say that there is nothing I would change on this car....read morehide

- Very roomy for a subcompact , fuel economy not to bad , handles great in traffic , plenty of power.
- a little to much road noise.
over all I love this little sub compact my last car was 1997 volvo 960 wagan ( great car ) but this ones is turning out to be just as nice for the money. The 2 door hatchback model has plenty of room for 4 adults , my friends are impress with the room this little bunny has. My only complaint is road noise a little loud for my taste . I hear some people take about not enough power well its not a v8 mustang or v8 camaro but with its I-5 5 speed manual 170 HP engine it will move fast and not drain your wallet doing so ....read morehide

- GREAT INTERIOR, GOOD STEREO, GOOD ACCELERATION, LOVE IT
- FUEL ECONOMY, A LITTLE STEREO HISS
this is my fifth car in my driving career-all my previous vehicles have had 8 cylinders and so, jumping to a 4 cylinder was a big change but I am not disappointed. handles well on the interstate-though can feel a little 'swimmy'.

- Build quality, thoughtful details, sweet sounding and torquey engine, fun
- Small trunk, small side mirrors
This car is an excellent value: 2.5 liter, 170 hp, and enough torque to go zip in traffic. Exterior and interior quality and materials belie the price and suggest a much more upmarket vehicle. Structure is solid and the car has all the safety equipment one could wish for. Seats are very comfortable and supportive, instruments and dash are classy, conservative looking and very easy to read and operate. There are many thoughtful details such as bag hooks, tie down hooks, movable center arm rest, illuminated vanity mirrors, etc, that bring a smile to owning this car. Engine sounds "hot" so that I find myself rolling down the window just to listen to it. Handling is on the firm side (with 16 inch wheels) but very compliant and comfortable. I love this car and every day I get to drive it I love it a bit more....read morehide

- Waiting to go on a trip and then I will know exactly what mileage Iam getting.
- The ride is very confortable, rides smooth and handles quickly.
Very satisfied wiith my new 4 door VW Rabbit. I had a Mercedez prior to this car and I think this car response is great and the ride just as confortable as my Mercedez. It has quick response and the ride is very smooth.

- Sporty performance, good legroom for a compact, lots of features standard
- Gas mileage a bit low for size, clutch is vague
After learning to drive in a 1967 VW Beetle, and driving a 1988 VW Jetta as my first car, you could say that the "people's car" manufacturer has grown on me. When I picked up my '09 Rabbit about 3 weeks ago, I was not disappointed! It's quick off the line, handles like it's glued to the road, and makes sure you control it all in comfort and style. The list of standard features is a bit jaw-dropping, and the ride is simply a pleasure to experience. My only gripes are slightly sub-standard gas mileage for a car of its size, and that the clutch point (for you purists out there) is VERY vague. You need to learn where it is, as it's very hard to simply feel it engage. Otherwise, fantastic car!...read morehide

- STEREO-A BIT MORE BASS WLD BE FINE. AFTER THAT NOTHING ELSE...
BEFORE GOING W/ THE RABBIT, I WAS LOOKING @ A FEW OTHERS IN IT'S CLASS MAZDA 5, CIVIC, COROLLA. BUT AFTER SITTING IN IT @ THE DEALERSHIP THEN A TEST DRIVE I WAS HOOKED!!! HOW MANY CARS OUT THERE R THIS LOADED AS A STANDARD I.E 10 SPEAKER W/6 CD CHANGER & SIRIUS, HEATED SEATS, MIRRORS & WASHER NOZZLES, COOL SAFETY FEATURES, THROW IN A SUNROOF & UPGRADED THE RIMS. I WAS GOOD TO GO...ALL FOR UNDER 20K. NO CAR CAN TOUCH THIS. PLUS WHEN PROPERLY PIMPED OUT LOOKS MIGHTY FINE...LOL...read morehide
