- Great mileage, very comfortable, classy interior and fun to drive!
- No audible alarm if rear hatch isn't latched, sub-par sound system
Purchased As New
I have a 2011 TDI Lux edition. I absolutely LOVE to drive my treg. Unfortunately, I travel for work and only have been able to put 9,000 miles in the last 18 months. Two cons listed: I've lost a network router, ruined a laptop and had groceries fall out of the back because the rear hatch motor isn't very powerful and it will not latch if it feels ANY resistance. There is a visual alert on the dash but no audible. If you don't see the visual, as soon as you start driving - whatever is in the back will hit the pavement. For this reason alone I will not buy another Touareg - but I still love driving it in the meantime. Another downside is you have to get the Exec if you want decent sound. I put another $1500 in audio equipment to upgrade and it's awesome now. I do really wish the latch had an alarm, I'd buy another but will probably shop for a Cayenne or Q7 next year.
