I bought this car 2 months ago. I own the 6 gear manual TSI European version. Excellent fuel economy and performance. We have 2 small kids. The backseat and trunk is adequate for our family. The glass roof is excellent. I was planning to buy a A3 convertible but this car has better price/quality ratio....read morehide

I love this car. It is my first convertible. The windows are huge and with the top down and the windows up, you can talk on your cell and nobody knows the top is down. I really like the heating/cooling system. It is very accurate and either passenger can choose the temp. on their side. The back seat is very small. We don't use it so it is not an issue but in the past when we had others back there, they were cramped. Overall, a positive experience with service. No recalls yet. I would purchase a VW again although not planning on getting rid of the EOS until it is undrivable....read morehide

only had this vehicle one month. So far so very good... great to drive looks great. plenty of room in the trunk with the roof up and a great sound system.
With the top up there is a HUGE blind spot cause by the rear column of the roof. So, very very dependent on mirrors. Also a but had to get in. Seat retracts to enter but is slow to do so...read morehide

Raves from many who see the car. Fun to drive. Peppy to almost fast, especially to 50 mph. Fun to shift manually when the mood strikes. Very comfortable riding and great handling. Put together very well with quality materials. Live in central FL and have the top down a lot. Gas mileage is much better then advertised getting 32+ on the road (75+mph) and 34+ around town. Wish it had back up sensors and poor AM radio reception is all I'd fix if possible. Got out of an 04 Thunderbird and the EOS is far superior in most ways....read morehide

I've owned my 2009 Komfort Eos since Aug 2008. It is a fun car to drive, has a lot of pick up and go. Great handling. 6 speed. Convertible - easy to open & close, all automatic, hardtop. Did I mention fun to drive?? I've gotten lotsa compliments on look of car, especially the transformer-like convertible operation. VW, German engineering makes an awesome car! Don't tell anyone, I like having the only Eos in my area....read morehide

Review
Let me start out by saying, I have been looking to by a convertible but the choices that were out there were either dull in the styling or too expensive in the cost. Well this when I happen to see Volkswagen concept vehicle at the auto show in Germany. I fell in love with what I saw. I was hopeful that Volkswagen would sell the EOS in the United States. My wish came true. Well that was two years ago. A week ago I finally got my EOS. Although
I purchased my EOS as a certified pre-owned car; I have to say I?m very happy with it. The other models that had a convertible hard top I researched were the Pontiac G6, Volvo C70, Mercedes SLK and the BMW 3 Series. Well after comparing all of these, the EOS was the better choice for the money. Lets face it fell into what I could afford were The EOS is a beautiful car and it has great performance and outstanding gas mileage. It ends there. Serious problems with engine, it burns oil, and leaks a little. I would not suggest this vehicle because I had it break down twice (only driven it 8,000 miles in the last year) and towed. Service is horrible because one must wait for a few days before they can even look at it and start the repairs. I'll never buy another VW again and will migrate over to Lexus, Infinity, or Acura.
Favorite Features
Fun to drive, great stereo, and performance is awesome, and got 32 mpg.

I am from Hong Kong, maybe with lots of starts and stops, and some hill roads, gas is not that economical as some reviews mentioned. Engine response is just OK. Suspension is hard and fairly bumpy. But with the pros as mentioned, overall this is still a very good car to go for, having driven for 5 months now, still felt very enjoyable....read morehide

I am loving this car! We purchased this as the second, fun car since my hubby drives an SUV. The acceleration and handling are great, both around town and in highway driving. The interior is comfortable and quiet, and controls are easy to find and operate. The covertible top operation is easy (and even fun) and the car looks sharp either way. My friends refer to it now as my "Transformer Car." Obviously, there is very little room in the trunk because the convertible top takes up most of it. If you need lots of space for "stuff" this may not be your car, but it's plenty big for enough stuff for a weekend at the beach....read morehide

This is by far my favorite car I've ever had - and my last was even a Jag. While the jag was a bit more comfortable, the Eos is so much more fun, and I think better looking - when the top is down. Go drive it - it's a very quick ride, and it handles very well. I'm ALWAYS getting compliments, and when people watch the top go up/down, they're all amazed.
I love it!!!...read morehide
