My wife drives the C30 and loves it BUT....we have had it back 4 times for the check engine light. 1st time there was a "loose" connection, odd at only 2000 miles. The other times were when for some crazy reason the gas cap seems to work it's way OFF? How can that happen, seems real strange but we have both made sure the cap is secure after gassing up. Another time the anti lock brake system went out. By the way the service dept has never attempted to just try to replace the gas cap?? Hmmm....She loves the car but....she had a Honda Del Sol for 15 years and all we ever did was replace tires and a battery. We sure hope this service of this car improves. Oh and the gas mileage claim...NO WAY is it close to reality. I am not impressed and actually worried this car is going to act like the old BMW,s where you should buy two because one is in for service all the time. LOVE it but concerned about reliability....read morehide

- Styling, smooth power, steering, visiblity, classy center console
- keyless ignition not standard
Purchased As New
After 8 months, the car has proved rock solid. Design and styling are beautiful, receive compliments all the time. Power delivery is terrific with absolutely no turbo lag. Visibility is first rate due to shooting brake design. The car's handling and steering add to the fun factor, yet it feels very civilized. The center stack is very attractive and is identical to the high end C60. It would be nice to have a keyless Start ignition button rather than having to use the key, this should not be an option. Overall though, very fun 2 door....read morehide

- Fuel consumption. Does not get near 30 as advertised
Purchased As New
I looked quite a while for a versatile vehicle that was visually different than the standard suv's on the road. Plus, I was not interested in a kid's vehicle with playful interior lighting or funky seat cover mateials (VW GTI).
I finally narrowed it down between the c30 and Audi A3. Both can be somewhat expensive with desired features, but the Volvo came with a full 5yr coverage plan, and it runs on 87 octane so there you go. Other than that, here are my thoughts on my c30: (1) I am a tall guy at 6-2, so the leg room can be a little short for long drives/commute.(2) The car is very "tight" in its overall feel. I traded in a G35 for this car so I know how a good ride drives. (3) Steering wheel controls/dash controls are convenient and easy to use. (4) Racks ontop are great for bike/kayak etc. (5) My girlfriend looks great in the passanger seat!!!...read morehide
