After 8 months, the car has proved rock solid. Design and styling are beautiful, receive compliments all the time. Power delivery is terrific with absolutely no turbo lag. Visibility is first rate due to shooting brake design. The car's handling and steering add to the fun factor, yet it feels very civilized. The center stack is very attractive and is identical to the high end C60. It would be nice to have a keyless Start ignition button rather than having to use the key, this should not be an option. I looked quite a while for a versatile vehicle that was visually different than the standard suv's on the road. Plus, I was not interested in a kid's vehicle with playful interior lighting or funky seat cover mateials (VW GTI).
I finally narrowed it down between the c30 and Audi A3. Both can be somewhat expensive with desired features, but the Volvo came with a full 5yr coverage plan, and it runs on 87 octane so there you go. Other than that, here are my thoughts on my c30: (1) I am a tall guy at 6-2, so the leg room can be a little short for long drives/commute.(2) The car is very "tight" in its overall feel. I traded in a G35 for this car so I know how a good ride drives. (3) Steering wheel controls/dash controls are convenient and easy to use. (4) Racks ontop are great for bike/kayak etc. (5) My girlfriend looks great in the passanger seat!!!...read morehide
