2004 Volvo V40 User Reviews

After 8,500 miles this Volvo V40 is proving to be our best choice between a Saturn L200 Wagon and the VW Jetta Wagon. This V40 is sportier, more powerful, and so much more fun to drive than either of the others. We just opted for leather trim, not interested in sunroof and 16in. wheels. The 1.9 turbo is gutsy enough although having only 4 cylinders does have its limits, passing gear above 70 m.p.h. is pointless but it settles down in 5th gear at 85 m.p.h. and just cruises! The ride is very compliant and it handles nice and secure. Comfort, fit and finish are all impressive. The Volvo safety and quality trademark is loud and clear in this car, all-in-all we feel it was well worth the $23,000. Only 2 complaints
