- $6,676 - $9,723
- nice style, get lots of compliments from strangers, great room inside, good gas mileage, no problems
- hate the diagnostic computer, in particular, the service calls, money mkt for volvo
great car overall, and it's safety features are unparallel. the turn signals have great visibility on all angles. i'd buy another volvo.

- Ride, Comfort, Exterior Finish, head room
- excessive wind noise when sun roof open
I have owned five previous Volvo Wagons since 1972. They have all being Manual. This model is an Automatic with the Premier package which has been a delight to drive. The leather seats are very comfortable and have that look/feel of class. Comments from friends and strangers alike say the V70 is a classy Wagon. I have yet to drive in Winter conditions but will put snows all around as suggested by previous reviews....read morehide

- 300 Hp and Top Speed a lot of space better truck that most SUV
One of the best Family car for someone that whants to have a sport Station Wagan you can take your family to a trip or you can just go yourself for a Saturday Drive on a twisted road while driving Very HARD... Its not a Mercedes E Class wagon when it comes to confort but you pay 20k less that means you get what you pay. My has 20k miles and I still love to drive it . I admited that already went to the dealer 4 times due to problems but that is normal when you get something new in market. how many wagons do we have like this one, the R6 Audi cost 78k and the S4 its to small, the dogdge looks like a funeral vehicle so I think Volvo has done a great job....read morehide

- can haul the dog, groceries...., gets lots of looks, snow tires needed here.
- 6 spd shifter needed replacing at 2600 km
In hindsight I would have bought the auto. transmission. Shifting in traffic along with balancing a coffee, tuning the radio and talking on the phone....shifting becomes a chore when all is considered. But the car is fun to drive - no doubt about it. i'd buy another.

- excellent engine, good handling, good brakes, the best car I have ever own
- I couldn't find one.
Seriously, this car is an excellent car with no flaws in it. I think the design is a lttle old but still very appealing. The engine, well, I can not stop talking about it. Acceleration is excellent. Brakes are excellent ( I think finally volvo is admitting that they can not make brakes, so they bought them from brembo). Overall value is very good as well, and I should admit I got a good deal.
Rather than driving BMW M3, I rather driving this car around. Almost similar performance, with adjustable suspension system, and enough cargo to carry everything around.
If you are married with kids, but still would like to drive a performance car around, this is your car....read morehide

- Good fuel economy
- Poor leather, poor transmission, poor handling
The leather seats are poor, the drivers side wears out in about 5,000 miles due to the seat belt support rubbing-near the door on the drivers side. The transmission does not know if it is in gear, or not. It does not shift up or down when it should. The car pulls to the left on acceleration, and to the right on braking. Volvo is way over-rated....read morehide

- Excellent handling, styling, power, amenities and value.
- Think that dash needs some upgrading. Turning radius too wide.
1.300 hp Engine is as powerful as anything in its class. Like a rocket, with minimal turbo lag.
2.Love the powerful Brembo brakes.
3.The driving stability controls are handy -- they minimize the chances of going out of control in cornering, for instance.
4.Think that the external styling is classy.
5.The dash board is ok, but really could benefit from a style rething and upgrade. The 2005 model has done just this. [I have a 2004]
6.Turning radius is a bit wide.
7.Has most of the extras that you'd want -- sunroof, heated seats, etc.
8.Costs a bit less than its competitors, the Audi, BMW and Mercedes....read morehide

- GREAT Performance! Yet the most practical car ever.
- NONE, It's no M3, But, it's a great sports car (but it's a wagon)
If the they tell you you need to change the High Performance tire in the winter, Don't listen. I live in the Mid-West and it drives great in snow, sleet, ice, etc.
If you need to grow up and get rid of your sports car because of family needs. This wagon won't make you miss it. (and you will score points at home for the practicality)
A Steal for the Price....read morehide

- Major HP, Comfort, Style
- High Performance Tires must be repalced during winter months
The 2005 Volvo R-Series wagon is a wonderful blend of performance and comfort. The wagon offers a spacious interior comparable to most wagons and mid-sixe SUVs. The 300Hp propels you like a rocket, and Volvo makes the most comfortable seats in the world.
The stereo thumps (I reccomend the optional subwofer). The only draw back is that the high performance tires must be changed during the winter months....read morehide
