2007 Volvo V70 User Reviews
- $10,976 - $15,219
- No trim specified for this review
- Solidly built, good fuel economy, safety features abound.
- Ride a tad stiff, poor placement of parking brake, and touchy rain sensor.
All in all, a solid value. Bought this vehicle to transition back into autos from SUV's. Have owned 4 SUV's in a row but have grown tired of feeding their excessive appetite for gas with the prices constantly increasing. Last SUV was a Buick Ranier, which may explain why this vehicle feels like the ride is a bit stiff. Buick is known for the soft ride aspect, including their SUV.
I have now owned by Volvo for almost a month and can say I have not missed the SUV once, even with trips to the nursery and hardware store tossed in. Plenty of storage room in the back, even with the rear seat up.
The only things I would change would be the placement of the parking brake (right at driver's knee level. I would have preferred it on the passenger's side of the center console), and the touchy rain sensor (loves to set the wipers to their highest speed setting when the conditions do not warrant it). Other than those two very picky items, I can not say I would change another thing.
I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a station wagon or looking to transition out of the gas guzzling world of SUV ownership.
