2006 Volvo XC90 User Reviews
- $9,897 - $13,779
- No trim specified for this review
- Comfort and roomy
- Too many recalls and replacement of transmission
I was a firm believer of once you drive a Volvo, you will always drive a Volvo. Well the operative word here is "was". I bought the XC90 in hopes it would remain a solid reliable car for a long time, just as my previous ones did. Well, after several recalls, several more trips to the dealership for numerous upgrades to the software, I now have replaced the transmission at 72,000 miles. I am not the only one who has had to do this. Needless to say after much pressing we finally got the regional Service Mngr to help in the whopping replacement costs plus labor well over a $5,000 price tag. Thank goodness we have a good dealership! For a car only 3 years old and a transmission that is boasted not to need service until 300,000 miles, it's certainly not the same Volvo my grandfather drove!
