With the era of the current Dodge Challenger and Charger coming to an end, Stellantis has started to roll out a suite of seven Last Call special edition models to celebrate the long-running muscle-car duo. The third and fourth installments of that project have just arrived, and are known as the Dodge Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swinger. Inspired by an often overlooked Mopar classic, the Scat Pack Swinger brings all sorts of old-school flair alongside a ton of green.

This isn’t the first time that the Dodge brand has utilized the Swinger name. Mopar fans will recall that the Dodge Dart Swinger 340 arrived in 1969 as a genuine performance bargain. That car was honorably labeled as part of the original Scat Pack club, thanks in part to its ability to rip off the quarter-mile sprint in the mid-14-second range. The car has also become somewhat notable today due to the options packages that were once available. These included things like obscene green-over-green exterior and interior combos, as well as wild gold accents. Those are exactly the sort of options that inspired these new models.

Like the recent Dodge Charger Super Bee special edition, both of these new models are underpinned by the Scat Pack trim. That means both models are powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.4-liter Hemi V-8, which provides 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. Unlike the Super Bee, however, all 2000 examples of the Scat Pack Swinger will be built on the Widebody trim, split evenly between Challenger and Charger.

Customers will have the choice between three exterior hues: F8 Green, Sublime Green and White Knuckle. Every Scat Pack Swinger will feature green exterior accents, including stitching and unique badging. There is also a cursive “Swinger” graphic on the rear fenders, which is also finished in a green hue. In order to better compliment the exterior palette, Dodge has also outfitted the Scat Pack Swinger with Gold School badging and wheels. The Challenger models will also pick up a painted Shaker intake hood, again hinting towards the Seventies inspiration.

The fifth and sixth installments of the Last Call special editions series will debut on September 14 and 21, respectively. Dodge will hold off on unveiling the final project until the 2022 SEMA Show, which begins on November 1. The brand isn’t quite ready to give out pricing information for any of these models, but that should come when ordering for these Last Call special edition cars opens later this fall.
