A Timeless Classic with Power, Elegance, and Modern Touches.

A true classic, the 1965 Buick Riviera stands as a testament to the era of powerful, stylish American muscle. This particular Riviera, originally purchased in East Gadsden, Alabama, stayed in the same family until the early 1980s before entering the collection of Pollock Motor Co. in Gadsden. It was kept in the dealership’s collection until mid-2017 and found its current owner in 2018. This iconic model, powered by the Buick 401ci Nailhead V8, combines elegance with robust engineering. The engine, paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, produces a factory-rated 325 horsepower and an impressive 445 lb-ft of torque.

The exterior of this Riviera is finished in the distinctive Burgundy Mist (NN), complemented by concealed stacked headlights and classic chrome trim, creating a look that’s both refined and striking. Recently, lower body portions have been repainted, and the front bumper has been rechromed to maintain its luster. The car sits on Rally 15” wheels fitted with Diamond Back Auburn Deluxe radial whitewall tires, enhancing its vintage appeal while ensuring smooth handling. The inclusion of power-assisted steering and drum brakes offers a comfortable driving experience.

Inside, the car retains its period-correct black vinyl front and rear bucket seats, complete with woodgrain trim, black carpeting, and a classic Sonomatic AM radio. Key updates include PerTronix electronic ignition and air conditioning servicing in 2020, making this Riviera ready for modern drives while keeping its vintage charm. The dashboard features a 140-mph speedometer, fuel gauge, analog clock, and essential warning lights, while the tilt steering column adds comfort.

Under the hood, recent maintenance includes a rebuilt carburetor, new alternator, battery, and heater-bypass hoses, enhancing the reliability of this classic Buick. Accompanied by an owner’s manual, Protect-O-Plate, and service records, this 1965 Buick Riviera remains a collectible masterpiece, capturing the elegance of a bygone era.
