C10 Truck Nerd’s iconic 1971 C10 "Bluey" heads to SEMA for a full transformation, thanks to Distinctive Industries and partners.
The 1971 Chevy C10, affectionately named "Bluey," is about to embark on an exciting new journey at the world-renowned SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Originally owned by C10 Truck Nerd, Bluey was destined to be a patina project until a twist of fate changed its course. In a recent video announcement, C10 Truck Nerd revealed that Bluey has been sold to Distinctive Industries, who will now take the truck to the next level with a full transformation for the biggest stage in the automotive industry.
Bluey’s story began as a modest 1971 C10 pickup, with its patina finish giving it a rugged charm. However, as C10 Truck Nerd explained, he couldn't make up his mind about the truck's future, debating whether to keep it, sell it, or part it out. Ultimately, he decided to sell the truck to Distinctive Industries, marking the start of an ambitious new chapter for the iconic vehicle.
"Bluey was going to be my 1971 C10 patina project until I found Forrest. I couldn't make up my mind whether to keep her, sell her or part her out. I finally made the decision to sell her and I couldn't be more excited for the next chapter of her life! Next time we will see old Bluey will be at the @semashow in Las Vegas. The team at Distinctive Industries, along with The Gentleman Racer and Apex Auto Works, will now take Bluey through a full-scale build. The goal is to debut the revamped C10 at the 2024 SEMA Show, where it will be showcased among some of the most groundbreaking automotive builds in the world. Fans of the truck, and the automotive community at large, are eagerly awaiting what is sure to be an incredible reveal.
