The Ford Thunderbird is a vehicle enjoyed by many collectors, including celebrity car collectors like Frank Sinatra. It’s easy to see the appeal of the Ford Thunderbird, even though it had a few shaky years. The Thunderbird started off with pure style and class, and had a few strange years that started in the late 60s, and it got even more different from the original luxury style until it was canned in the late 1990s. This 2005 Ford Thunderbird represents a short, but effective revival for the nameplate.

After a, much needed, five year hiatus for Ford to regroup and redesign the Ford Thunderbird, it returned for one final, short generation in 2002 through to 2005. This year model represents the last year of that 11th generation run.

This 2005 Ford Thunderbird example was bought by the owner of Weber-Harris Ford L-M Inc. in Meadville, Pennsylvania new, and it has hung around their collection until the current dealer bought it in 2021. It is powered by a 280-horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque 3.9-liter V8 engine, which is backed by a five-speed automatic transmission. It’s a convertible with a power top, but comes with a body-matched removable top. Finished in Bronze Metallic over Light Sand leather, it rides on 17-wheels, and is loaded with features.
