The 2022 Formula 1 Schedule Is Here
After months of individual race confirmations and speculation, Formula 1 has officially unveiled a record 23-race calendar for the 2022 season. The schedule opens in Bahrain on March 20 and closes in Abu Dhabi on November 20, ten months later.
Among the highlights is the first-ever Miami Grand Prix, a new race through a temporary circuit built around the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. It is the second Grand Prix in the United States on the calendar, joining the now-traditional October date at the Circuit of the Americas. The race represents a major push toward the American market after the overwhelming success of the Netflix documentary series Drive to Survive.
