2023 Land Rover Discovery Lineup Adds a New Metropolitan Edition

• Land Rover Discovery's new Metropolitan Edition will sit above the existing top model, the R-Dynamic HSE, and will start at $76,600.

• Among its features are standard 22-inch alloy wheels, head-up display, and a power-folding third row.

• There are some spec enchancements for lesser Discoveries, too, but the base price rises $2700.

The Land Rover Discovery has seemed a little lost since the launch of the more obviously rugged Defender, a car that seems to better exemplify the British brand's go-anywhere credentials while also delivering an impressively refined driving experience. But Land Rover isn't giving up on its more traditional three-row offering, with the Discovery gaining a new range-topping version, the Metropolitan Edition.

Positioned above the existing Discovery R-Dynamic HSE, the Metropolitan Edition gets various visual enhancements to indicate its status at the top of the tree, including bright detailing on its radiator grille and the name "DISCOVERY" on the leading edge of the hood, plus silver bumper inserts, 22-inch diamond-turned gloss gray alloy wheels, and black brake calipers.
