2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali Is Less Expensive, Offers More Range
The 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali now starts at $91,995, which is $7500 less than last year's Denali Edition 1.
The electric Sierra now offers two battery packs, including a bigger Max pack with an estimated 460 miles of range (20 more than before).
The Sierra EV Denali with the Max Range battery starts at $100,495; GMC plans to add less expensive models to the lineup in the first half of next year.
The GMC Sierra EV debuted with a single model, the Denali First Edition, which carried a hefty starting price of $99,495. GMC's electric pickup truck (not to be confused with the more extreme Hummer EV SUT) also featured a single battery size with an EPA-estimated range of 440 miles. For the 2025 model year, the Sierra EV now costs less and can go farther.
The 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali is arriving at dealerships as you read this. The new trucks have a starting price of $91,995—$7500 less than last year's Edition 1. That price applies to models with the newly standard Extended Range battery, which has an EPA-estimated range of 390 miles. That's 30 miles short of the 2024 model, but that's obviously part of the reason for the sizable discount.
For those who want a Sierra EV with an estimated driving range of over 400 miles, GMC now offers a second battery option. The larger Max Range pack tacks on $8500, pushing the price to $100,495. It also brings 460 miles of range, which is more than before, according to GM's estimate. GMC claims the Sierra EV can add up to 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes when connected to a DC fast-charger with a 350-kW charging rate.
If you think $92K is still a lot for an electric pickup truck, GMC plans on introducing two trims in the first half of next year that will have lower price tags. While we don't yet know how much the forthcoming Elevation and AT4 will cost, the Sierra's platform-mate, the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV, offers an LT trim with a $75K base price (plus Chevy says it's eligible for a $7500 federal tax credit). So, we expect the Sierra EV Elevation will have a similar price and be eligible for the same tax credit.
