2025 Jeep Gladiator Drops the Stick, Raises the Price
Jeep is dropping the standard manual transmission from its Gladiator pickup truck for the 2025 model year and is making the eight-speed automatic standard equipment.
Jeep is also making power windows and power locks standard equipment for ’25 model-year Gladiators.
The Jeep Gladiator will start at $39,995, which is up from the current base model’s $39,790 starting price.
Jeep’s Gladiator pickup truck is shaking up its available equipment and price for 2025. For ’25, Jeep is cranking up the creature comfort for its most basic Gladiator. The six-speed manual transmission is gone, with the eight-speed automatic transmission now taking over across the board. Jeep is also expanding its power windows and power locks to the entry point, and also expanding the base model’s price tag.
Unlike its Jeep Wrangler cousin, the only available powertrain for the 2025 Gladiator is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. This V6 shoves 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque through the now standard eight-speed automatic, and from there to the wheels by way of a standard four-wheel-drive system.
Joining the automatic transmission is a standard set of power windows and power locks. Ending the run for crank windows, the Gladiator is expanding standard power windows across the board. That means, if you want a new Gladiator with manual windows, locks, and transmission, you’re running out of time.
As you’d expect, expanding the list of standard automatic and power features will crank up the price. The 2025 Jeep Gladiator will now start at $39,995, which is $205 more than the current base-model Gladiator. However, that price now includes the formerly optional eight-speed automatic. Comparing the new base price without the current base gladiator when optioned with an automatic, the ’25 Gladiator is $2,295 less expensive before any incentives.
