The 2025 Lincoln Navigator Is a Rolling Spa Day
The luxury SUV market in the United States seems to know no bounds, either in breath of offerings or levels of opulence — forcing even well-established nameplates to step up their game to stay current. The Lincoln Navigator that kicked off the luxury SUV segment in the United States, beating the Cadillac Escalade to market by a year; in spite of that, while the Caddy has become an icon in its own right, the Navigator hasn’t quite managed to capture the same level of cultural relevance.
So, with all of the high-rollers in the automotive world coalescing in Monterey, California this week, Lincoln has found the perfect opportunity to show off its latest luxury SUV offering: the fresh-faced 2025 Lincoln Navigator.
Like last year’s model, the 2025 Lincoln Navigator is still based on Ford’s T3 platform, which also underpins the Expedition. The truck comes equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6, which provides an unchanged 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic is mated to the engine, with four-wheel-drive coming as standard across all models.
Every Navigator also comes equipped with an adaptive suspension system with variable damping, ensuring a comfortable ride despite the large 22-inch wheels. (Customers can also option a set of 24-inch rollers if they desire, a first for the nameplate.) All Navigators benefit from Ford’s suite of towing aid software, including Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Trailer Hitch Assist. With the optional Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package, the 2025 Navigator will handle an 8,700-pound load.
Lincoln is clearly in the midst of reworking the family fascia, as the new Navigator's face looks more like the latest Aviator and Nautilus. The front grille is rounder and shorter than before, with a more pronounced lower valance and front air dam. The lighting elements are also all-new, again utilizing a more horizontal design. A center LED light bar connects the front headlights, accented by an illuminated Lincoln badge. The rear also gets a set of reworked lights, which feature less bright work than the outgoing units.
Inside is where the major changes are happening, centered around the new 48-inch panoramic display. Known as the Lincoln Digital Experience, this setup spans the entire width of the instrument panel, serving as both gauge cluster and command center. There’s also an 11.1-inch center screen that you can use to operate the larger system, all of which come backed by native Google voice commands.
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard features, while Google Play Store integration allows for streaming apps and games to be downloaded right to the car. A new Pano Mode setting allows customers to use the entire 48-inch display with those apps when parked.
Indeed, Lincoln hopes you’ll find yourself parked in the truck as a way to relax, and has integrated a number of spa-inspired features to that end. Lincoln Rejuvenation mode adjusts the 24-way adjustable seats (30-way are optional), manages the climate and massage features, adjusts the lighting and sound elements, and even sprays bespoke scents to maximize relaxation.
Second-row passengers also receive a major upgrade by way of the Power Tailored Seats package, which adds power-adjustable, heated, ventilated and massaging captains chairs. A second-row bench is optional for those who need seating for up to eight passengers.
Other interior highlights include standard BlueCruise hands-free highway driving across the lineup, a Wollsdorf leather-wrapped and heated wheel, available third row heated seats, and a 28-speaker Revel® Ultima 3D Audio System.
For those who need as much luxury as possible, Lincoln has extended its Black Label offerings for 2025 with two new themed packages: Enlighten and Atmospheric. The former adds light beige leather seating surfaces with gray piping and stitching, Espresso carpeting, and laser-etched birch woods accents; the latter packs Salt Crystal Gray leather seating surfaces, Salt Crystal Gray headliner, and black flooring. Ash wood and Radiant Copper accents are found throughout, with Radiant Copper wheels and exterior trim added with this package as well.
Lincoln hasn’t shared any pricing information about the updated Navigator lineup, but did confirm that the trucks will go on sale next spring.
