The 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series schedule will have a familiar look to it.

Very familiar.

Series officials announced today that the schedule for 2025 will once again feature 20 race weekends. While there are no changes in venues, there is a minor flip-flop in the order near the top of the schedule as the opener at Gainesville, Florida will be followed in 2025 by the race at Phoenix and then the trip to Pomona, California.

Gainesville kicks the season off the weekend of March 6-9, while Phoenix moves up two weekends on the calendar from this year's race to become the stage March 21-23, and Pomona moves back one weekend to March 27-30. For 2024, Pomona was in the No. 2 slot on the schedule followed by Phoenix.

The rest of the schedule, and the order of races, remains in tact.

As for qualifying, just one race weekend on the 2025 schedule—the Virginia NHRA Nationals weekend June 20-22—is slated for a single-day, three-session, pro qualifying format.

Once again, the NHRA U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park on Sept. 27-Sept. 1 will feature five qualifying sessions.

The rest of the schedule will remain at four sessions on Friday and Saturday or race weekend.

“It has been a terrific 2024 season and we’re thrilled to continue to build off that momentum and excitement and reveal our dates for the upcoming 2025 season,” NHRA president Glen Cromwell said. “We visit so many incredible facilities and we’re so thankful for the amazing fan support we receive at these tracks across the country. It takes great teamwork to put together our national event schedule and we appreciate all the race teams, track partners and sponsors that play a huge role in this process.

"We’ve enjoyed a lot of special moments this year and we look forward to continuing that this year and into our 2025 season as well.”
