2025 Ram HD Trucks Show Their Sleeker Faces ahead of Full Reveal
The first images of the refreshed 2025 Ram HD pickup trucks have been revealed.
The Ram 2500 and 3500 get a reworked grille and headlights that are split into two thinner elements.
More details on the trucks' powertrains and features will be announced at a later date.
The light-duty Ram 1500 received a comprehensive refresh for 2025, adopting sleeker front-end styling and, most notably, a new powertrain. The Hemi V-8 has departed, replaced by a new twin-turbocharged inline-six offered in two states of tune, either 420 or 540 horsepower. Now, Ram has announced that it is readying an update to its 2025 heavy-duty lineup, and it has provided a glimpse of the new pickups in a series of images.
As with the half-ton trucks, the Ram HD's new face retains the same rugged handsomeness but adopts a slicker, more modern appearance. The bulky headlights of the outgoing truck have been split into two thinner elements, which are incorporated into the grille. On the off-road-oriented Rebel (pictured at the top), the grille is blacked out to create a mask-like front end and features a series of vertical and horizontal strakes. The lower bumper design of the Rebel appears to carry over unchanged. At the rear, the taillights have a simpler look with C-shaped LED units, but there are no other noticeable differences.
Along with the two images of the heavy-duty Rebel, Ram showed a front image of three trucks, with a white model that Ram says is a chassis-cab configuration and a red truck with more luxurious trimmings. The white truck likely represents a base-model Tradesman and features a simpler grille with horizontal lines and headlights with halogen bulbs instead of LED elements. Meanwhile, the red truck might be a Laramie or Longhorn model, with chrome brightwork in the grille and a body-colored grille surround instead of the blacked-out look seen on the Rebel.
As of now, Ram isn't spilling the beans on any technical aspects of the new HD models, but a full reveal will come later. While it's possible that some versions of the Ram HD will be fitted with the gas-powered twin-turbo inline-six found in the light-duty trucks, we wouldn't be surprised to see the 6.4-liter V-8 stick around in the heavy-duty application. The Cummins diesel 6.7-liter inline-six will also carry over into the new HD models, but it's unclear if they'll benefit from any enhancements.
The 2025 Ram 1500 also got significant interior upgrades that will likely make their way into the heavy-duty trucks. The standard 8.4-inch touchscreen on 2024 models was replaced by a standard 12.0-inch unit for 2025, with a 14.5-inch display also available and a 10.3-inch offered on the dashboard for front passengers. More details on the 2025 Ram HD will arrive in the coming months.
