2025 Toyota Sienna Changes Screens, Not Much ElseToyota
  • The 2025 Toyota Sienna arrives with a handful of improvements over last year's model.

  • Every trim of the Toyota minivan adds support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while the XLE and up add a 12.3-inch center touchscreen.

  • The updated Sienna is expected to arrive at dealerships later this fall, with the base model starting at $40,635.

Sometimes incremental improvement is all you need. Toyota seems to think so with the 2025 Sienna which arrives without changing much for the new year. There's some updated tech, obligatory new wheel designs, and additional colors for the upholstery, but meaningful changes are scant.

Every trim now comes with support for the wireless versions of both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with USB-C outlets and an updated wireless charger. There's also a new 12.3-inch center touchscreen for every trim but the base LE, which is equipped with an 8.0-inch unit. The higher trims (starting with XSE) also add a new 12.3-inch digital display replacing the 7.0-inch unit equipped in the LE and XLE trims. A new vacuum and fridge are available on the Limited and standard on the Platinum trims enabling quick cleanup in the back of the van and easy cooling for drinks in the center console.

While it's hopefully never needed, Toyota included a new advanced rear seat reminder system to the entire Sienna lineup. The system uses a millimeter-wave radar scanner hidden in the headliner to scan movement in the back seat after the van is parked and turned off. An escalating series of warnings starting with the van honking and ending with an automated phone call aims to warn drivers that someone has been left in the car. In the event that the Sienna is left unlocked, the system works slightly differently and waits 10 minutes before warning the driver.

Changes are rounded out with a new Magnetic Gray Metallic paint color available throughout the lineup and blacked-out exterior accents on the XSE and Woodland trims. The Woodland trim also gains a new set of 18-inch matte black wheels.

The powertrain carries into 2025 unchanged. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine churns out 245 horsepower. In the standard front-drive configuration the gasoline engine is assisted by a pair of electric motors while opting for all-wheel drive adds a third motor to exclusively power the rear wheels. The updated Sienna is expected to arrive at dealerships later this fall, with pricing starting at $40,635.
