Honda's mid-size SUV is getting ready to enter a new generation, with the automaker today teasing the 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport. The TrailSport family is geared towards the outdoorsy crowd, and the new upcoming Passport version appears to have an even tougher appearance than the current model.
A Tougher-Looking TrailSport
Honda made the announcement by sharing a short video on YouTube that provides a glimpse of the Passport TrailSport's new front end. Along with what appears to be a lengthy, low-profile hood scoop, "PASSPORT" is written below the upper part of the grille, which is similar to the prominent branding seen on off-roaders like Ford's Raptors and Toyota's TRD models.
The 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport will also debut a new visual trait: amber daytime running lights. The color of the lighting signature again follows suit of other off-roaders, although they often have a set of three individual lights on top of the grille.
Last year, Honda gave the 2024 Passport a facelift and made the TrailSport model more capable when it leaves the pavement. Naturally, the automaker promises the next-gen Passport TrailSport will be even more capable, and the lineup itself is said to have innovative features. Today's announcement indirectly suggests the current-gen Passport will carry over unchanged into the 2025 model year. Honda says the 2026 Honda Passport will arrive sometime early next year.
