Arkansas Trooper Breaks A Leg

Somewhere along the way a portion of society never learned that running from police is inherently risky. We’re not sure how they missed that message because we thought that fact was self-evident, but there apparently are people who believe they can flee cops and face zero consequences. Delusion sure is fun.
Watch a fleeing Toyota Tundra get pitted into a freeway wall.
One of them found out the hard way by having his leg broken when an Arkansas trooper pitted his vehicle hard during a chase. It’s the consequence of his own actions, yet the guy immediately plays victim in the dashcam footage of the crash aftermath.
Originally, the trooper received a request for help with an ongoing pursuit of the older SUV. He was able to wait at an intersection until the suspect vehicle came flying through a red light. Catching up with the hunk of junk on wheels didn’t take much in the way of skill, and pitting it was similarly fast.
Granted, Arkansas State Police has a propensity for this sort of work, but even for them this was exceptionally quick.
The SUV spun off the road, hitting some cars parked in front of a house. That collision did damage to the front end of the vehicle and, deploying the airbags and apparently breaking the driver’s leg. We know this because the guy is hooting and hollering about it as soon as the trooper starts ordering him to put his hands up.
Maybe some people will take issue with the trooper not offering more sympathy for the guy who’s in serious pain at that moment. If that’s you, consider this: when people run from cops like this driver did, they’re risking inflicting these sorts of injuries or worse to innocent people who are on the road at the time. The fact he suffered such a fate and not a bystander is a form of justice.
Perhaps next time this guy will just pull over for police, remembering how he broke a leg not complying.
