Aston Martin Unveils the All-New Vanquish: A Luxury V-12 Powerhouse

Aston Martin has revealed the third generation of its iconic Vanquish, marking the return of one of the brand's most prestigious grand tourers. Set to go on sale later this year, the new Vanquish showcases the marque’s commitment to maintaining the heart-pounding performance of traditional internal combustion engines, despite a global push toward electrification.

Powered by a newly developed twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V-12 engine, the Vanquish delivers a staggering 824 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. This makes it even more powerful than its predecessor, the DBS 770 Ultimate, and one of the most potent grand tourers in Aston Martin’s lineup. With its enhanced engine, the Vanquish can rocket from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds and achieve a top speed of 214 mph.

Aston Martin’s decision to stick with internal combustion powertrains follows a public statement by company chairman Lawrence Stroll earlier this year. Stroll highlighted the emotional connection customers have with the "sound and smell" of the brand’s V-12 engines. As such, while Aston Martin plans to explore hybrid technology in future models, the new Vanquish proudly carries the torch for high-performance gasoline-powered cars.

Beyond its impressive performance, the Vanquish boasts a sophisticated design with more carbon fiber than previous models and a longer wheelbase. Its sleek body features a shark-like front end and a Kamm tail rear, blending elegance and aggression. The interior is equally luxurious, offering quilted leather seats, a digital gauge cluster, and a state-of-the-art infotainment system.

With only 1,000 units being produced annually, the new Vanquish will come with a starting price of $429,000. Deliveries are expected to begin before the end of the year, making it one of the most anticipated luxury supercars of 2024.
