What's the best way to sell an old-school rally car? Film a video of it powersliding around an abandoned warehouse, of course. That's what Portuguese dealer Cool & Vintage did with its 1974 Mk1 Ford Escort, and it might be one of the best car ads we've ever seen.
The car itself sounds great, too. It has a 206-hp inline-four built to racing specifications housed in a lightweight Group 4 rally-car body. The interior has been stripped bare, and the car has all kinds of race-ready suspension gear already installed. A hydraulic handbrake lets you pull lurid slides as demonstrated in the video.
The dealer doesn't list a price, but restoration is said to have cost over $150,000. Bilstein dampers and AP Racing brakes don't come cheap, apparently.
Like all the cars on Cool & Vintage's site, the Escort looks like it's been run through an Instagram filter, but it's a serious piece of hardware. I defy you to watch this video and not fantasize about getting it sideways on a historic rally.
