2014 Maserati Ghibli enters late to a crowded party

The latest arrival to the bumper crop of high-end luxury sedans is this, the 2014 Maserati Ghibli, a shortened version of the Quattroporte that will attempt to grab a look-see from people wandering through Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz showrooms. Maserati held back most key details for a debut at the Shanghai motor show later this week, but did say the Ghibli would come with either a diesel or gasoline turbocharged 3-liter V-6. The luxury branch of the Fiat-Chrysler empire says it plans to grow its sales to 50,000 cars a year – but didn't give a deadline for its goal.
