BMW's X3 is an old-timer in the luxury CUV segment, and with that experience it's successfully evolved into a top performer and high seller. Nowadays, the brand's 2.0-liter turbo inline-4 powers the entry-level xDrive28i, while a 3.0-liter turbo inline-6 is employed by the range-topping xDrive35i. Both all-wheel-drive-only editions ride on 18-inch alloys, have chrome tailpipes, leatherette, iDrive multimedia control system, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and 40/60 split rear seats. Standard goodies on the 35i include adaptive xenon headlamps, a power panoramic roof, and power tailgate. Looks are important in this hugely competitive segment and the X3 doesn't disappoint in this regards. Sculpted lines, an aggressive stance, and available M Sport Package with all the relevant athletically-inspired elements (wheels, tires, suspension, aerodynamic kit) really set it apart from bland-looking competitors wearing Four Rings or a Three-Point Star. Pros Cons
Performance - great handling, great interior comfort Controls & location of navigation adjustments: distracting
Drive is exceptionally smooth, good road handling Front center console provides limited storage
The car is so quiet; best ride Starting from a stop - the car hesitates
Ease of handling - since i use a spinns this is very important to me. Remote lock & unlock could be more responsive. it must be pressed perfectly
All wheel drive - excellent during snow! Sound system - still sounds flat, but much improved from previous model
Navigation system - nice & easy to use Run flats would not be my choice; waiting to see mileage life.
Heated steering wheel - all cars should have this! Does not ride like a car
Smooth ride, very quiet, but quick when you need it Throttle response - gas pedal feels disconnected
Performance, particularly inline 6 cylinder engine & 50/ 50 front - back weight ratio Fuel economy - i want a diesel version of this x3
Safety - control, handling, air bags More fuel efficient 4 cylinder engine could have been available
