BMW's only roadster isn't just one of its sexiest models, but it's also one of its sportiest. With standard turbocharged inline-4 or -6 engines and a Driving Dynamics Mode selector (Comfort, Sport, Sport+), driver and passenger will be thankful for their highly bolstered 8- or 10-way adjustable seats. More sportiness comes with the inclusion of the available M Sport or Sport packages that add aerodynamic enhancements, a higher top speed, sport seats, bigger 18- or 19-inch wheels, and a 3-spoke steering wheel with available paddle shifters (depending on gearbox). Buyers can also combine leather colors with the M Sport package for a more comprehensive option group. A smooth shifting dual-clutch 7-speed transmission is an option on the 35i and standard on the 35is. The latter model also rides atop adaptive M-tuned suspension, 18-inch wheels, and wears an aerodynamic kit. Indeed, all of those small upgrades make a tremendous difference -- the 35is is one of the most athletic roadsters on the road today. See more... See Less

Reviews and Ratings
Overall
Pros Cons
Convertible's handling , road feel , size , looks , construction Music player - logic & random play is poor
Trunk space is same as my previous bmw - very good! Standard seats: flat and uncomfortable. at $54,000, best seats should be standard
Handling & responsiveness - wonderful to drive, fun, but safe Fuel saver mode - sometimes causes hesitation on acceleration
Styling - the lines on this car are beautiful. looks fast sitting still Some functions are complicated; required several readings of manual
Performance - incredible speed and handling on windy roads. Cupholder: kind of a joke. need an in dash or door cupholder
Technology - navigation, audio, controls - ease of driving Run flat tires - very rough ride
Handling - tight like a sports car should be. Turbo 4 is very noisy
Exceptional styling - wanted one first time i saw it Automatic a/c does not cool as described
Acceleration makes you feel like the car has a big engine. Center console glove compartmment useless. no real place to put anything
Overall styling - this vehcile is arrestingly beautiful Sunvisor - too small and won't move to side window
