Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir Headlights Cost An Eye-Watering Amount

The assumption that hypercars not only are super expensive to buy but also to maintain definitely holds true with the Bugatti Veyron San Noir. That fact came into sharp focus after an eBay listing for a single headlight for sale in Europe proved to many they could buy quite a few nice cars for the same amount, if not less.
Learn why Jeremy Clarkson says he can no longer drive the cars he loves.
As originally pointed out by Luxury Launches, the single headlight is listed on eBay for a whopping 35,000 euros or approximately $40,000 USD. Think of all the cars, both new and used, you could buy for that amount. You could even buy a couple of rides for the same wad of cash. But none of them would be nearly as bombastically crazy as the Veyron.
Now keep in mind when you replace one headlight you often replace the other, so double that cost if your Bugatti isn’t covered by a warranty and insurance won’t step in to front the cost. We can’t imagine what the insurance costs for the hypercar would be, anyway.
To keep that in perspective, the ride in question is worth a few million, so relatively speaking $40,000 for a single headlight isn’t all that bad, until you compare it to other headlights and even vehicles.
Owning a hypercar is a dream many will never realize, even if they do amass a sizable fortune. After all, even among the elite a Bugatti is quite the status symbol, especially if one really drives it and deals with not only servicing the ride but also replacing different components as they go out.
It’s worth noting, by the way, that the eBay listing in German says the headlight actually isn’t brand new but instead is like new but used. In other words, if you were to order one directly through Bugatti it undoubtedly would be much more.
