Business News: JetNet announces Greg Fell as company’s first chief executive officer
Greg Fell has been named the first chief executive officer at JetNet a global provider of business aviation data at 101 First St., Utica. Fell has nearly 30 years of senior management experience, including strategic development and IT infrastructure growth, across the industries of business aviation, automotive, software/technology, and social media. Fell most recently served as chief executive officer for Display Social, a social media company where he led the company through a successful launch that gained seven million downloads in less than 6 months.
Fell is a certified Six Sigma Champion and serves on multiple boards and advisory councils across various industries including telecommunications, aviation, and oil and gas. He also practices as an industrial mentor for Columbia University.

• The Center for Leadership Excellence at Mohawk Valley Community College, along with the Griffiss Institute (GI), has won the James C. Hall Program: Outstanding Business/Organization Collaboration award on their Summer Professional Development Institute, which aims to develop leaders ready to make an impact as they join the workforce. Through the GI internship program, interns who are current undergraduate and graduate students from 81 colleges and universities across the country are connected to summer employment at the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) in Rome.
• Dr. Brian J Jackson was elected president of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) at the 70th annual conference in Chicago, Illinois. The AAID, founded in 1951 is the oldest organization in the world dedicated to implant dentistry. Jackson is board certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID) and an honored fellow of the AAID. • PJ Green, Inc., 100 Whitesboro St., Utica, has obtained the Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority’s RecycleOne Business Certification. The certification requires an on-site review from authority staff to verify that specific solid waste management, recycling and energy reduction criteria have been achieved. After debuting a new, round-trip Albany-New York City route in early November, the company has extended this line from Schenectady to Utica to provide daily round-trip service.
