A recently uploaded video of a car YouTuber jumping into a supercar rally with his modified C7 Corvette is a delight to watch. Not only does his Chevy have a nice cam which gives the engine plenty of chop, which we highly approve, the young enthusiast learns a valuable lesson in the video.

Watch a classic car torque steer into a crowd at a rally event.

Overall, there seems to be this perception that supercar owners are a bunch of pretentious douche bags. They’re portrayed that way in the media and even in some automotive enthusiast circles. But the reality is that while some are, and honestly there are douches in every enthusiast group under the sun, many supercar owners are really nice people.

While on his way to a car meet, he notices a bunch of cops on the side of the road and some interesting-looking cars in the parking lot by them, so naturally he goes to check it out. You can hear him realize it’s some sort of supercar gathering as he checks out the beautiful, exotic machines from his lowly ‘Vette.

Not only did the supercar owners invite him to join in the rally, the police were there as an escort. They even brought along their SWAT Bearcat as the rally wound its way to the very car show the YouTuber was going to originally.

The rally was a Dream Cars 4 Kids charity event. Basically, they hold these rallies as a way to grant a child’s wish to ride in their dream car. The kids are in hospitals recovering from various conditions like cancer. It’s a way to put a smile on the face of children and their families as they’re going through dark times.

Supercar owners often do charitable events like this out of the goodness of their hearts. Many of them are incredibly busy people, but they set aside time to help their communities with their rare, impressive vehicles. So it’s really not a shock they were warm and welcoming to this YouTuber in his modified C7 Corvette.

Some car gatherings might be incredibly tribalistic, but this was different. And the YouTuber has been invited to officially participate in another rally.
