C7 Corvette ZR1 Almost Wrecks Gloriously

The C7 ZR1 Corvette is a sprots car which commands the driver’s respect. Many who scoop one up because it looks cool or is expensive and so will supposedly impress people aren’t prepared for the fact the performance ride can bite back in a hurry. Take, for example, this guy who has a YouTube channel and was filming himself doing some cool stunts on a rural road when he almost wiped out.

Watch a Porsche 991 GT2 RS crash gloriously.

The ZR1 in question has 800-horsepower on tap and has been tuned. Even in stock form, these sports cars aren’t for amateurs, especially when you put it in track mode and really get on the accelerator.

But it’s obvious this guy thinks the machine is just something you drive without any real skill. He starts off doing some pulls with his buddy in the passenger seat, trying hard to impress the guy and viewers.

While letting the Chevy cool down on the side of the road, our ZR1 owner puts a camera bag on the hood and slides it around while opening a zipper pocket, something that will make every real enthusiast cringe in pain. That’s a red flag.

After taking some photos for Instagram or whatever, because we honestly don’t really care, this guy decides to do some high-speed flyby runs for his buddy to film. And that’s where the amateur nature of the C7 ZR1 owner comes erupting out in what almost was a glorious crash.

On one of those runs, which he’s doing on a two-lane road with a solid yellow line, the sports car pulls to the right. Instead of torque steering to correct, the guy hits the brakes. Then the vehicle pitches to the left, into the oncoming lane of traffic and threatens to veer off the road on that side.

The guy’s lucky there wasn’t another car right there or he or someone else might have been seriously hurt or killed. A C7 ZR1 will bite you in a hurry if you don’t know what you’re doing, like how this guy clearly doesn’t. Afterwards he brags about the save, claiming he knew what to do.

How long do you think it will be before he actually wrecks out?
