Calling all cookie monsters: Crumbl Cookies' new Clarksville store sets opening date
And that's the way the cookie crumbl(s).
With a corporate approval of his remodeled Hampton Plaza space now in hand, the owner of the new Clarksville Crumbl Cookies location says he has an official opening date to share with the cookie-loving masses.
Plans are to open during the second weekend of May 13 being the big first day for eager Clarksville customers looking to get their cookie fix, Cole Pendleton said.
The 1,700-square-foot store will employ up to 60 people.
"We love providing jobs in the local community and being a big part of the community," Pendleton said, adding he knows excitement has been building in Clarksville for his store.

Pendleton confirmed weeks ago that a retail space lease has been signed for the nationally-popular Crumbl Cookies chain's first Clarksville location near Kohl's in the Hampton Plaza shopping center, off Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
Pendleton has been living in Bellevue, where he has another Crumbl Cookies store, but he's said he plans to move to Clarksville.
A third store in his franchise is located in Smyrna.
"I love Clarksville. I really believe it's the place to be in the next couple of years," Pendleton said.
With more than 300 stores nationwide, Crumbl Cookies started, as the company website phrases it, "with one big dream, two crazy cousins, and the perfect combination of flour, sugar, and chocolate chips."
Crumbl was co-founded by Jason McGowan (CEO) and Sawyer Hemsley (COO). They teamed up and dove head-first into the world of baking.
"After thousands of dollars in wasted dough, recipes that did not live up to their expectations, and cookies that are just plain embarrassing to them today, the two cousins decided to take their 'perfect cookie quest' to the people," the website said.
They gathered feedback and tested recipes — a practice that is still part of the Crumbl process — until they created what is the self-proclaimed "world’s best chocolate chip cookie."
The duo and their family opened Crumbl’s first store in Logan, Utah, in 2017.
They place emphasis on Crumbl customers being able to see their cookies being mixed, balled, baked and dressed in real-time.
As Crumbl continued to grow, so did their cookie menu.
Crumbl’s award-winning milk chocolate chip cookie has always been on the menu, and the chilled pink sugar cookie became a semi-permanent menu item soon after.
Crumbl then introduced its concept of a rotating menu.

Its four-flavor weekly rotation was officially established in December 2018.
Since then, new flavors are added frequently, often weekly, in addition to current recipes being updated and improved, the company says.
