Canyon, Amarillo school districts hosting job fairs today

A new school year is just around the corner, and two area school districts will be holding job fairs today.

The Canyon Independent School District is hosting a job fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 13 at Happy State Bank Stadium in Canyon.

"We are in great need of bus drivers and monitors," Lisa Johnson, Director of District Communications, said in an email. "Our transportation crew will have buses and cones available for folks to experience, our food services crew has our new food truck that will be at campuses this year, plus our maintenance and custodial crews will be there with information, too."

In addition, Amarillo ISD will be hosting a job fair from 4 to 6 p.m. today at AmTech Career Academy, 3601 Plains Blvd.

They will be hiring for dozens of positions including tutors, child nutrition staff, maintenance, bus drivers/monitors, human resources staff, and more.
