The next film in the Cars franchise is all about the future. No, there aren't electric cars, but it is full of youngsters aiming to usurp the star of the series, Lightning McQueen.

The newest trailer, which premiered during the Daytona 500, shows Lightning McQueen attempting to get his mojo back after what appears to be a huge crash. There's also a familiar voice in the trailer. It sounds to me like it's Doc Hudson, aka Paul Newman, who passed away in 2008. It wouldn't be impossible in this age of movie magic, since there have been a number of actors that have passed on making appearances in recent films thanks to new computer tech. But it might be harder to do it with just a voice. It'll be interesting to see how this works.

We also learned this week that a number of new NASCAR drivers will be in the film playing up-and-coming drivers, like Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, and Darrell Wallace Jr., among others. These drivers will surely be the ones that motivate McQueen, who is no longer a newcomer and is now the old pro, to get back to the front of the Piston Cup field.
