Once upon a time, this was a hallowed and celebrated nameplate, but today's Chevrolet Impala isn't as focused on prestige as its predecessors. However, the full-size sedan still comes equipped with a comfortable interior and relaxed ride, whether you opt for the base LS, midgrade LT, or top-of-the-line LTZ model. Inside, you'll find all the amenities expected from a plush sedan: six airbags, flip-and-fold backseat with armrests, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and a generous 104.5 cubic feet of passenger volume with a spacious 18.6-cu-ft trunk. The outgoing generation caps off its last year (the modernized 2014 Impala is just around the corner) with a Luxury Edition Package. Available on LT and standard on LTZ Impalas, the package throws in front leather and heated seats, six-way power adjustment for the front passenger seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, a year-long subscription to SiriusXM radio, and a Universal Home Remote. Outside, the package includes heated, power-adjustable side-view mirrors. Wheel sizes range from 16 to 18 inches. Designed to soak up long stretches of highway cruising, the Impala's only powertrain is the 300-horsepower, E85-flex-fuel-ready 3.6-liter V-6 with a six-speed automatic transmission. It achieves 30 mpg on the highway and 18 mpg in the city. See more... See Less

Reviews and Ratings
Overall
Pros Cons
The size and engineering make for a comfortable ride. Front seat is hard - and we need back up camera
I like the easy views , good sight lines. Doors close almost too fast & cruise control is hard to operate.
Vehicle interior is well designed & practical Don't like that remote car start doesn't restart heated seat setting!
Power, and you can see out of the rear window Head rests are too big - hard to see around them.
Gear shift on steering wheel so that there is a bench seat. Seat belt are too hard to snap , lock is set too low in seat
A higher height on driver's & passenger seats Gas mileage is nowhere near 30 mpg stated
New 6-speed transmission - great gas mileage. Cheap - looking controls compared to buick
Effectiveness of headlights - nice and bright Cup holder - have to lift lid to use
Great response from engine when accelerating Size of interior is smaller than the 2002 impala i had
Size of trunk space with fold up seats. Front grille should be chromed like trim around grille & maybe different pattern
