The Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size SUV divided into LS, LT, LTZ, and Hybrid models. It'll seat up to seven passengers in a spacious cabin that has the potential to be very luxurious - it all depends on how it's equipped. The second row can be set up as a three-person, 60/40-split bench or two bucket seats. The removable third row is a 50/50-split seat. An E85-flex-fuel-ready 5.3-liter V-8 with Active Fuel Management technology powers the non-hybrid Tahoe. It's capable of towing up to 8500 pounds with rear-wheel drive and 8200 pounds with four-wheel drive, properly equipped. Select features and options include leather seats, power-adjustable pedals, a backseat DVD entertainment system, dual-zone climate control, power-retracting side steps, and a power-operated liftgate. Needless to say, the Tahoe is not short on powered and electronic accessories. Available packages are a Convenience Package for LS, Luxury Package for LT, and a Sun, Entertainment, and Destinations Package for LT and LTZ. A Z71 Off Road Appearance Package for Tahoe LT includes a skid plate, special shock absorbers, 18-inch wheel with all-terrain tires, and more. The Tahoe Hybrid uses a Two-Mode Hybrid system with a specially tuned 6.0-liter V-8 and returns 20/23 mpg city/highway with either RWD or 4WD. See more... See Less

Reviews and Ratings
Overall Rating
Pros Cons
Ride is smooth & comfortable 3rd row seating is not convenient to remove
The tahoe is very comfortable on long trips. Seat surfaces are terrible. dog hair sticks to it; absorbs spills
Safety - good crash test ratings Gas mileage is still substandard
Cargo - good storage space with third row seat removed Starter sound/function seem timid & fragile
Ease of getting in and out of parking spot: turning radius and rear camera Not enough engine power for such a big vehicle.
Blind spot warning system when merging & passing Passenger windows only go 1/2 way down. need to go all the way
Powerful engine - strong towing capacity Need more leg room in rear 2nd row seats
I don't have to bend my head down to drive! Engine performance during rapid acceleration
Navigation - love not having something attached to the dash Interior lights won't dim enough for night driving
I love the way the car handles. makes me feel safe. Tires are a little too stiff & hard on country roads
