  • The Chevrolet Traverse, coming in 2021 as a 2022 model, receives a handsome new look that includes new lighting elements and four new wheel designs.

  • Inside, the Traverse gets new upholstery options and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.

  • Additional standard driver-assistance features have been added, including automated emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and lane-keeping assist.

Chevrolet is giving its three-row Traverse a makeover. While the updates are mostly cosmetic, there are improvements to the family SUV's feature content as well. It was originally intended to be a 2021 model, but in April Chevrolet announced it has been moved to the 2022 model year.

The Traverse's front grille is reshaped, which leaves room for a larger lower bumper area with a blacked-out section at the very bottom. This gives the Traverse a more truck-like look. Narrower headlamps sport integrated turn signals and daytime running lights, and multi-element rear LED taillights give the rear end some extra flair. Four new wheel designs round out the exterior's styling changes, but so far Chevy has only showed us two of the four designs–shown in the photos here on both the High Country and Premier models.
