Clarkson, Hammond, and May's New Amazon Show Is Called 'The Grand Tour'

From Road & Track

Well, it finally happened. Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond have announced the name of their new Amazon Prime show. It will be called (drumroll, please) The Grand Tour and will air sometime this fall.

Clarkson kicked things off this morning with the big announcement.

As Richard Hammond then explained, there's a reason the name was chosen.

And since it's now going to be a traveling show, you may even get to watch it film.

And they'll be using a huge tent the size of a studio to shoot it in.

There's also a Facebook page now that documents the show's progress over the past several months.

Sadly, they didn't take any of our suggestions, but oh well. That just means we get to keep those names for our own show one day.

Oh, and in case you were curious about potential anagrams, May was sure to point this one out.

Variety managed to get some additional details, and it looks like The Grand Tour will be recorded in front of a live audience like it was on Top Gear. Except now the audience will be housed in a giant tent.

And since the show will be traveling to different cities, fans outside of the U.K. will get to be part of the audience. Tickets will be raffled off this summer, and the tour schedule will be announced soon.

Finally, there's a dedicated site for the show on Amazon if you want to keep up with the guys there.
