Yahoo Autos New Corvette Emoji Let You Pester Porsche-Lovers With America's Sports Car
Remember the excellent Porsche emoji set we featured a couple a months ago? There's a new set out there now, featuring America's favorite sports car, the Corvette. It's just as rad as the Porsche collection. If you love the Corvette and have an iPhone running iOS 10, this $0.99-app is definitely worth a download.
Automoji: Bowling Green is the work of emoji designer and R&T contributor Kevin McCauley. Like his Porsche emoji, the Corvette pack has a good mix of iconic road and race cars spanning the legendary Chevy's long history. Everything is here, from the first '53 Corvette to today's C7.R race car.
Well, almost everything–your author has put in a request to add the 1963 Corvette Grand Sport roadster and the iconic C5-R racer. The emoji pack includes 27 different Corvette illustrations at launch, but considering the Porsche emoji count is currently at 100, you can expect more from McCauley. He even takes requests on his website.
McCauley's app is a sticker package for iMessage in iOS 10, so you can text these emoji to your friends. Sadly, Android doesn't offer the same features in its messaging apps, so Automoji: Bowling Green is limited to folks using iPhones and iPads.
Just like the Porsche emoji, we think this app is a fine way to spend a buck. It's less than your morning coffee, for endless Corvette-based entertainment.
