RM Sotheby's is ready to put on its Auburn Fall Auction taking place from September 3rd - 5th, 2020. The auction is being held live in-person with remote bidding, and one must pre-register online before attending. There will be over 500 collector cars of vast variety with as many as 400 lots of memorabilia ready to go under the hammer.

Sadly, general admission is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic for this Labor Day weekend auction, but pre-registered bidders and accompanying guests will be allowed admittance. The physical auction will take place at Auburn Auction Park in Auburn Indiana.

Dave is a true and lifelong car enthusiast with a large and eclectic collection ranging from big-block muscle to late-model luxury. 1970 Pontiac GTO Convertible

This gorgeous Pontiac GTO is just one of 3,783 convertibles built for the 1970 model year. Under the hood sits a 455-cubic-inch V8 engine backed by a Turbo Hydra-matic transmission. Power options on the car include the steering, front disc brakes, windows, and door locks. The interior features factory air conditioning, an AM/FM radio, bucket seats and center console with a floor-mounted shifter, and a Jensen CD player. This classic beauty is being offered without reserve through RM Sotheby's on Friday, September 4th and has an estimated auction price from $35,000 to $45,000.

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Beauville

Another vehicle offered from the Dave Leimbach Collection is this pristine 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Beauville. A top-of-the-line model from the Bel Air series, this is Chevy's fanciest four-door station wagon. The body is finished in a brilliant red over a two-tone red and white interior. Powering this Bel Air is a small-block V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission. Other goodies include the factory AM radio, electric clock, and an owner's manual. This classic gem is scheduled for Friday, September 4th and is being offered without reserve and has been given an estimated auction price from $30,000 to $40,000.

1998 Mercury Cougar "Woodie" 2050 by Barris Kustom

Another car being offered through the David Leimbach Collection is a 1998 Mercury Cougar "Woodie" 2050 by Barris Kustom, a one-of-a-kind vehicle from the designer of the original Batmobile. This car made its debut at the 1999 Grand National Roadster Show and featuring plenty of classic components such as a 1950 Ford front end featuring a 1950 Mercury grille and a custom-fabricated 1950 Ford station wagon rear end. The mechanicals, chassis, and interior all come from a 1998 Mercury Cougar. The exterior is slathered with 40 coats of Gold Pearl of Essence paint. Powering this unique vehicle is a Ford supercharged 4.6-liter V8 engine shifted via an automatic transmission. More highlights include Corvette finned and ribbed side pipes, gold-anodized foot pedals, and Colorado custom wheels with oak spoke inlays. This vehicle is titled as a 1949 Ford Barris and is scheduled to cross the auction block on Friday, September 4th without reserve. The estimated auction price is listed between $25,000 to $35,000.

1960 Edsel Ranger Deluxe Hardtop Coupe

Another vehicle being offered from the Dave Leimbach Collection would be this final-year 1960 Edsel Ranger Deluxe Hardtop Coupe. A rare specimen, this is just one of 52 Ranger Deluxe Hardtop Coupes produced for the 1960 model year. The exterior is finished in a Regal Red with a Polar White roof. Under the hood sits a 292-cubic-inch V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. More highlights include power steering, radio, plastic seat covers, and wide whitewall tires wrapped around wire wheels. This car is also scheduled for Friday, September 4th, without reserve with an estimated price between $30,000 and $40,000.
